Senior Supplier Management Engineer
Job Description
Summary Provides technical advice and support for material and product quality form suppliers. Drives cost, quality and delivery improvements with suppliers. Performs value engineering and works on cost improvement opportunities 1. Technical advice and support for material and product quality from suppliers. 2. Lead supplier approval process by assessing supplier\'s quality management systems, manufacturing and process capabilities and related Environmental, Health and Safety risk. 3. Coordinate supplier and plant initiated component or process changes to ensure appropriate verification and approvals. 4. Facilitate root cause and failure analysis and implementation of corrective actions of supplier quality challenges. 5. Identify and qualify alternate suppliers or materials. 6. Monitor and report key supplier metrics on quality, delivery and cost. 7. Drive waste elimination and continuous improvements at supplier facilities. 8. Drive \'Zero Defect\' mentality within supplier. 9.
