Your future job
As a Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer at Melexis, you will ensure continuous improvement at Melexis' suppliers in terms of quality and costs and adherence to Melexis requirements.
More specifically, you will:

• Be responsible for the implementation and coordination of processes and/or projects in accordance with Melexis product development procedures;
• Analyze and report supplier performances for all Melexis suppliers;
• Manage, in alignment with the Melexis development team, the release of new technologies while considering Melexis requirements and business needs;
• Identify and manage improvement programs for suppliers' capabilities and/or performances related to quality, technical, supply chain, and business aspects, resulting in improved effectiveness and return on investment;
• Drive solution-finding initiatives covering technical, quality, supply chain, and cost aspects by collaborating with other functions. Ensure the successful deployment of lessons learned;
• Manage customer audits at supplier premises in accordance with Melexis processes.

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience;
• Proven experience in wafer fabrication, subcontracting environments, and supplier management;
• Strong knowledge of wafer fabrication process technologies, process control, yield improvement, process optimisation, SPC, MSA, and risk assessment;
• Familiarity with quality and automotive standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AEC, VDA, ZVEI) and audit techniques is an advantage;
• Strong background in Six Sigma, quality tools, and methodologies (Green Belt certification is an advantage);
• Proficient in troubleshooting, data analysis, failure analysis, reliability, and structured problem-solving;
• Ability to maintain a helicopter view with a systematic approach, while being autonomous and proactive;
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively engage suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams, bridging internally and externally;
• Self-directed with strong analytical skills, assertive communication, and sound judgement;
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage;
• Willingness to travel frequently (approx. 30%) on short notice;
• Position based in Kuching.
