Senior Systems Engineer, Kuala Lumpur We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the business and support, develop and manage the technology operations for the region. THE ROLE As a Senior Systems Engineer within the IT Operations Team, you will be responsible for the efficient operations, support and development of S-RM\'s global technology estate, particularly within the local region. you will work as they main point of contact for stakeholders at all levels of the organisation within the region. As part of a dynamic team the Senior Systems Engineer will support a cloud-first infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft (Office) 365 and other leading SaaS platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to grow and develop their skills across multiple practices, with tasks and responsibilities varying daily and new challenges and problems to solve, making this role dynamic and engaging for the right individual. This role is operating a hybrid working model, with a split between remote working with on-site requirements on a regular basis. Responsibilities: Providing 1st-3rd line support to the local region and escalating and triaging support to the relevant teams within the Technology Team; Take ownership of the technology stack in the region, ensuring that the business is complaint with central policies and procedures and upholds certification standards; Develop tools and solutions to increase the operational efficiency of IT Operation processes and procedures with a focus on excellent user experience; Monitor, maintain and continuously improve existing IT platforms (as well as assist with the support and development of new systems and software); Establish close cooperation and trust relationships with leaders of various business lines, continuously promote IT visibility and influence from the business side and improve overall customer satisfaction; Key communicator communication and resource coordination, efficiently promote the alignment and implementation of technical solutions, business guidelines and process systems, and ensure the achievement of project and business goals; Assist S-RM\'s internal Information Security team, ensuring appropriate steps are taken to protect infrastructure and users from threats. We\'re looking for someone with some or all of these skills who can adapt to change and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment: Technical knowledge of software configuration, usage, installation and infrastructure; Working experience administrating, maintaining & supporting Microsoft 365 technologies & services - including Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online; Fundamental understanding of core networking principles. (VLANS, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, routing, firewalls.); Working experience with supporting and maintaining security tooling. (Email security systems, IDS/IPS, SIEM.); Troubleshooting client side issues, Windows 10, networking and mail flow; Proven experience of managing IT systems and services. Adept at applying IT experience to addressing real-life business challenges. In addition, any of the following would be beneficial for this position: Systematic problem-solving approach with the ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and progress in high ambiguity and uncertainty areas; Strong communication and collaboration skills, with colleagues in different business units and clients; A high level of initiative with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
