Job Description

The Senior Tax Specialist will play a key role in managing tax compliance, ensuring adherence to local regulations, and providing tax advisory support. This position offers an opportunity to work in the Retail industry, contributing to the financial health of the organisation.

• Prepare and/or review filings for corporate income tax and indirect taxes.
• Handle tax provisions and reconcile tax expense and deferred tax accounts.
• Review and manage withholding tax matters, including documentation and payments.
• Assist with the preparation of Transfer Pricing documentation.
• Stay updated on tax law and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance processes are adjusted accordingly.
• Oversee tax audits and coordinate with external advisor and tax authorities across the region.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and external tax consultants to support the execution of tax strategies.
• Provide tax guidance on new projects and evaluate tax impacts of business activities.
• Conduct tax research on transactions, maintain technical documentation, and share relevant insights with stakeholders.
• Support the integration of tax compliance into business operations and system implementations.

Professional Career Growth and DevelopmentGlobal MNC

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are a plus.
• A minimum of 4 - 6 years of corporate income tax and/or indirect tax experience within a Big 4 firm and/or relevant tax experience in a multinational corporation
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in handling corporate tax matters and audits.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting tools.
