The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and manage the DDC team as a key acquisition channel, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure efficiency while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. The role also ensures that, through our supporters, funds are raised and long-term commitment is secured toward the NGO's vision of achieving ecological sustainability.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1) Direct Dialogue Supporter Acquisition
Lead and oversee all direct dialogue supporter acquisition activities for the NGO in Malaysia (Southeast Asia).
Collaborate with the Venue & Territory Coordinator to identify strategic indoor venues and street sites for donor acquisition.
Plan and execute team activities in line with approved venue and territory plans
2) Team Leadership & Staff Management
Lead, manage, and grow a team of Direct Dialogue staff.
Address and document disciplinary issues outside of the Performance Management System.
Focus on high-performing target groups and conduct performance reviews for underperforming staff.
3) Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Develop and maintain accurate reporting and analysis systems to support effective program management.
Oversee timely and accurate monthly reports to the Fundraising Director, Deputy Fundraising Director, and Fundraising Manager.
Strengthen and maintain fundraising relationships with stakeholders.
4) Administration & Compliance
Ensure accurate and timely administration, results reporting, and payroll processing.
Ensure compliance with NGO policies and procedures.
Conduct weekly team meetings to share campaign updates and organizational developments.
5) General Responsibilities
Perform other related duties as required to support organizational and fundraising priorities, as directed by the Fundraising Director, Deputy Fundraising Director, and/or Fundraising Manager.
6) Strategic Planning & Program Development
Drive the Direct Dialogue program by refining procedures, implementing new initiatives, and contributing to long-term strategic planning.
Develop and implement strategies to strengthen team engagement and ensure Direct Dialogue staff feel fully integrated within the NGO.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Communication, or related fields.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in fundraising or direct sales.
Minimum of 2 years' experience leading and managing sales teams.
Proven experience managing large budgets and achieving income targets.
Experience in field marketing, face-to-face sales, or fundraising is an advantage.
Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
