Job Summary

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will play a key role in designing and positioning network and security solutions in support of the sales cycle. This includes conducting technical assessments, engaging with customer stakeholders, and developing solution architectures that align with both business outcomes and technical requirements. You will act as a trusted advisor, advocating for client needs internally while ensuring alignment with JOS Malaysia's portfolio of offerings.

Responsibilities

1. Solution Scoping & Design

Design and scope network and security solutions that meet customer objectives and desired outcomes. Identify both current and future-state customer needs to deliver optimal value. Collaborate with solution principals and sales teams to ensure proposals are technically sound and commercially aligned. Lead technical discussions and workshops with customer IT/security stakeholders.

2. Sales Support & Technical Engagement

Partner with account managers to align solutions with customer business goals. Drive the technical sales process from discovery to closure, including documentation, demos, and technical validations. Prepare and present well-structured technical proposals and proof-of-concept materials demonstrating solution impact and ROI.

3. Team Enablement & Business Development

Provide coaching and technical enablement for sales team members to enhance solution selling capabilities. Identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities within existing client accounts. Maintain accurate records of technical engagements, design documentation, and customer feedback.

4. Post-Sales Alignment

Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure seamless transition from presales to project implementation. Assist in developing implementation roadmaps and ensure technical alignment post-sale.
Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in presales or technical consultancy within networking or data center environments. Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills

Proficient in Routing, Switching, Wireless, and Security technologies. Hands-on experience in cybersecurity and understanding of how applications, systems, and networks interrelate.

Soft Skills

Strong communication and presentation skills, including ability to engage with senior-level clients. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail. Proven project coordination and cross-functional collaboration experience. Ability to prioritise and manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Self-motivated and committed to continuous learning in evolving technology domains.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
