Technical Research Engineer works at the forefront of technology and deals with innovations every day. He/she is required to keep abreast with the current technical developments and latest technology trends. This challenging, research-oriented role combines the skills of Scientific Expertise, Intellectual Property Skills and Data Science. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of patent and technical information Actively involved in analyzing inventions in different technologies and fields of Test & Measurement such as software, electronics & communication, electrical, mechanical, semiconductors, etc. Carry out searches on various data bases, with project like prior art, invalidation, infringement, landscape Provide timely, critical and decision-ready research reports to the technical and business community Perform data analysis on companies, technologies and markets to support innovation pathfinding, competitive intelligence and litigation Job Qualifications Requirements Strong technical background with proven technical competencies Strong analytical and presentation skills Strong interest in information research and a keen reader Able to multi-task with excellent attention for details Experience with patent searching tools and techniques would be an advantage Knowledge of data science would be an advantage Work experience in T&M industry would be an advantage Bachelors/Masters/PhD degree in Engineering Job Function R&D
