Join our dynamic team as a Sr. Technical Support Specialist for the Oil & Gas industry.
You will play an important role to:
1. Service Coordination
Plan, schedule, and monitor all service activities, including installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
Assign and coordinate field service engineers based on job requirements, priority, and technical expertise.
Track service job progress to ensure completion within agreed timelines.
Maintain proper service documentation such as job reports, calibration certificates, and service logs.
Prepare service quotations covering labor, parts, travel, and related costs, as well as service contracts.
2. Customer & Technical Support
Act as the first point of contact for customer service and technical inquiries.
Log and manage service requests, complaints, and issues, escalating to engineers or principals when necessary.
Provide basic technical troubleshooting and support via phone or email.
Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and proper service closure.
Support service engineers with product information, manuals, calibration data, and technical bulletins.
3. Coordination with Sales & Principals
Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical input for proposals, product upgrades, and demo support.
Liaise with overseas principals and suppliers on spare parts enquiries, technical clarifications, remote diagnostics, and training arrangements.
Assist in handling warranty claims and coordination with manufacturers.
4. Inventory & Logistics
Coordinate the procurement and stock management of spare parts, tools, and consumables for service jobs.
Manage logistics for parts shipment to and from customers and principals.
5. Administrative & Reporting
Generate quarterly service performance reports (e.g. man-hours, completed jobs, first-time fix rate).
Support invoicing and payment follow-up for completed service work.
Take ownership of service revenue forecasting and reporting.
Ensure all calibration tools and test equipment are properly maintained and certified
To be successful in this role, you would require:
At least a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar field.
At least 1-2 years' experience in service coordination.
Possess good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Proactive and able to work independently and within a team.
