Job Description

Responsibilities: * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and subject matter experts, to produce high-quality technical documentation for software products and cloud-based services

• Write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation for software products and cloud-based services, including user manuals, installation guides, release notes, and other related materials
• Create diagrams, flowcharts, and other visuals to enhance understanding of technical concepts
• Edit and proofread documentation for grammar, spelling, and formatting
• Work closely with product management, engineering, and customer support to understand and document new features and functionality
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across multiple documentation deliverables and versions
• Manage documentation projects, including scheduling, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines
• Review and update existing documentation as necessary
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and services
• Publish the information in a format suited for the information (for example: HTML, PDF, and online help)

Requirements: * Bachelor\'s degree in English, Technical Writing/Communication, Computer Science, or related field

• 5+ years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in a software development environment
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Strong project management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience with industry-standard documentation tools, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat
• Familiarity with component content management systems (CCMS), such as Alfresco/Componize
• Familiarity with DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) and authoring tools like Oxygen XML
• Familiarity with Smart Media Creator (EC Systems) will be an advantage
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
• Experience with source control systems, such as Git or Subversion, is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of German writing and reading will be an advantage
