Job Description

Maintenance Activities:

Perform preventive maintenance of solar panels, inverters, transformers, AC/DC combiner boxes, and switchgear as per O&M and company guidelines. Execute corrective maintenance for electrical faults, inverter errors, cable faults, and equipment breakdowns. Clean PV modules and ensure optimal sunlight exposure as per cleaning schedule or performance data.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

Assist in monitoring plant performance using SCADA or remote monitoring systems. Identify and troubleshoot underperforming strings, blocks, or equipment. replace defective fuses, circuit breakers, connectors and damaged cables.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow safety procedures and permit systems (LOTO, PTW) for all maintenance work. Use appropriate PPE and follow electrical and fire safety standards. Report safety hazards, incidents, and near misses immediately.

Inspection & Documentation:

Conduct regular visual and thermal inspections of solar panels and electrical components. maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, test reports, and equipment status. Support periodic audits, internal inspections, and quality control processes.

Support Functions:

Assist during third - party inspections, relay testing, and grid synchronization activities. provide support for electrical testing (insulation resistance, continuity, IV curve, etc.). Coordinate with the control room and other technicians for efficient plant operation.

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy Engineering or its related field. Have experience at least 1 - 3 years in solar plant maintenance or electrical O&M. Basic knowledge of PV modules, inverters, transformers and electrical safety protocols. Ability to read and interpret electrical SLDs, schematics, and technical manuals. Possess technical certification in similar field accredited by Malaysian authorities. Willing to relocate or work in

Tawau, Sabah.
