Job Description


Seeking a Creative & Driven Series Producer for a Programme in Arabic We are seeking a Series Producer to oversee the production of a programme in Arabic. The Series Producer will be responsible for leading a team of producers, assistant producers, and other creatives to produce high-quality content that aligns with Signal Flare\'s mission and vision. The Series Producer will report to the Executive Producer and will be responsible for ensuring that the series is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Key Responsibilities Story Development and Production Oversee the development and production of high-quality content that aligns with Signal Flare\'s mission and vision. Supervise, edit, and write pre-shoot and paper-edit scripts for clients. Generate ideas for clients, assess proposed ideas, and provide creative input and feedback to help shape and refine story ideas, scripts, and final cuts. Create compelling pitch decks and presentations for potential clients and partners. Create style guides, lookboards, and shooting guides for field teams. Direct shoots in person or remotely. Determine the style of animation and graphics and communicate the vision with animation teams. Secure rights to music, footage, books, or other creative works or archives. Supervise the writing team, ensuring that the scripts are well-written, accurate, and engaging for the target audience. Supervise the development of sizzles that effectively communicate the concept, tone, and style of potential projects to clients and partners. Supervise the entire project from beginning to post-production. Production Operations Manage the day-to-day operations of the production team, including setting priorities, assigning tasks, and tracking progress. Manage the production schedule and budget, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Determine equipment, such as cameras and editing software. Search for talent, such as hosts, experts, and interviewees. Hire directors, filming crew, actors, producers, and assistant producers. Negotiate and secure rights to music, footage, books or other creative works and archives. Hold regular meetings with the executive producer to discuss progress. Organize shooting and production schedules. Ensure that production processes and practices are efficient, effective, and aligned with industry standards and best practices. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during production. Work closely with the finance and legal teams to ensure that all production-related contracts and agreements are accurate and compliant. Collaborate with the marketing and PR teams to promote Signal Flare\'s content and build the company\'s brand. Be willing to travel as required to film on the ground and have a valid updated passport ready for travel. Take on whatever varied assignments and tasks as required by Signal Flare. Team Management and Development Work closely with the Executive Producer and Production Manager(s) to ensure smooth production operations. Supervise producers, assistant producers, editors, and field teams to ensure the quality of the production. Hire, train, and manage a team of writers, directors, actors, and production staff, providing feedback, support, and mentorship as needed. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages growth, creativity, and professional development. Ensure that the team is working effectively and efficiently, with clear roles and responsibilities and open lines of communication. Develop and implement training and development plans for team members, identifying areas for improvement and providing feedback and support. Requirements Bachelor\'s degree in film, media production, or related field. At least 8-10 years of experience in film or TV production, with a track record of success in developing and producing innovative content. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in one or more languages around the MENA countries is preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of creative professionals. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and partners. Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, on time and within budget. Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the film and TV industry, distribution, and financing models. A deep passion for storytelling and a commitment to using the power of media to inspire positive change. Proven experience in managing large-scale productions with multiple locations and complex logistics. Strong knowledge of production equipment, post-production workflows, and industry-standard software. Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements for film and TV production, including copyright, clearance, and intellectual property issues. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with creative and technical teams, managing conflicts and resolving issues effectively. A strong network of industry contacts and relationships with key players in the film and TV industry. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing creative and innovative production strategies. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in developing and managing budgets, with a strong understanding of financial analysis and forecasting. Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes to remote locations, and to work long hours as necessary to achieve the desired outcome.
