Job Summary



Skilled Server Automation Engineer to design, implement, and manage automated solutions for server provisioning, configuration, patching, and maintenance. The ideal will have strong experience with infrastructure automation tools, scripting, and configuration management platforms. Will play a key role in improving system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency across our environments.





Responsibilities & Duties


Design and implement automation workflows for server provisioning, configuration, and patch management. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform. Write and maintain custom scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or other scripting languages. Manage server lifecycles (installation, configuration, updates, decommissioning) in both on-premise and cloud environments. Monitor system performance, capacity, and reliability, automating repetitive tasks where possible. Work closely with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to ensure consistent server configurations and compliance. Implement and maintain server patching strategies across Windows and Linux environments. Troubleshoot automation issues and provide root cause analysis for system incidents. Maintain documentation for server automation procedures, standards, and configurations. Contribute to the design of scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant infrastructure systems.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in server administration and automation. Hands-on experience with automation/configuration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform. Proficient in scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Solid understanding of Windows Server and Linux systems administration. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
