SERVICES & COMMISSIONING MANAGER, MALAYSIA, JB

As a Services & Commissioning Manager, you will report to the Regional Services & Commissioning Manager and work closely with the rest of the Technology team, making your mark in a number of ways: \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage, organize and control personnel and logistic functions related to successful Commissioning of our client\'s data centres. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure the successful completion of commissioning activities to the satisfaction of the customers and in accordance with both external and internal client requirements and technical standards

Your Day to Day

• Interface with internal appointed independent commissioning managers, General Contractor, Subcontractors, Vendors, internal Operations and engineering consultants to plan, execute and complete all commissioning activities on time and in accordance with approved budget \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop budget estimates for commissioning related consultants, equipment and software systems \xe2\x80\xa2 Review design electrical, mechanical, controls and security designs for commisionability and compliance with our client\'s and local code requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide structured reporting on commissioning status and progress \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that the commissioning activities are documented on approved database systems, hiring and engaging with subconsultants to achieve this goal \xe2\x80\xa2 Travel to factories throughout the world to witness, organize and supervise commissioning activities with long lead equipment vendors \xe2\x80\xa2 Review and provide direction to CxA\'s, vendors and contractors with respect to Cx script completeness, validity and purpose \xe2\x80\xa2 Review and provide feedback to engineers and designers on the technical aspects of the design with a focus on the time and cost required to commission successfully \xe2\x80\xa2 Act as the decision maker on behalf to coordinate and resolve technical issues during commissioning \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyse, review and introduce commissioning processes and policies to reduce cost and time of the Cx process whilst still maintaining the standard required by clients and operations staff \xe2\x80\xa2 Report back to management on the status of commissioning activities \xe2\x80\xa2 Attend commissioning, construction and design meetings on an as needed basis \xe2\x80\xa2 Motivate, encourage, communicate, educate and train all members of the commissioning team \xe2\x80\xa2 Interface directly with client Cx Managers to ensure their satisfaction, confidence and trust in the technical aspects of the our client\'s product \xe2\x80\xa2 Promptly respond to requests from clients, specifically the client Cx manager, for technical information regarding the product. Provide incident reports, root cause analysis and explanatory narratives in response to these questions \xe2\x80\xa2 Cooperate with and coordinate commissioning activities with operations \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure submission of MOPs and SWMS on a timely basis to facilitate the Cx schedule \xe2\x80\xa2 Establish and coordinate the Cx schedule with GC, Vendors, contractors and CxA to ensure completion prior to RFS date \xe2\x80\xa2 Become involved with and contribute to technical initiatives and projects conducted by our client including: o DCS design and trouble shooting o Equipment design and commissioning o Construction processes and policy

Requirements:

• You have 3+ years of experience acting as a Commissioning Manager lead in General Contractor or Commissioning Agent role leading the successful handover of complex data center projects \xe2\x80\xa2 You have a bachelor\'s degree in building services, electrical or mechanical engineering \xe2\x80\xa2 You have a good understanding of multi-disciplinary building services design, construction, and commissioning processes \xe2\x80\xa2 You have experience interfacing with data center MEP Suppliers, Contractors, and Commissioning Agents within the APAC market \xe2\x80\xa2 You are incredibly flexible and adaptable to a dynamic fast-paced, collaborative environment \xe2\x80\xa2 You are willing to make decisions and be accountable for them \xe2\x80\xa2 You excel at communication; you can deliver effective presentations on data centre design and commissioning strategies to customers, peers and management \xe2\x80\xa2 You have good leadership acumen to lead multi-disciplinary teams across multiple geographies \xe2\x80\xa2 You are willing to travel to other APAC regions \xe2\x80\xa2 High Energy Level \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrate Initiative \xe2\x80\xa2 High level computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs \xe2\x80\xa2 Flexible and Adaptable; you may be required to travel throughout Asia-Pac region
