The Service Crew/Cafe Crew is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, ensuring smooth cafe operations, and maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in a modern Nasi Lemak fast-paced cafe. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming dining experience, supporting kitchen operations, and upholding hygiene and service standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service & Front-of-House
Greet customers warmly and assist with menu recommendations.
Take orders accurately (manual/QR ordering system depending on outlet).
Serve food and beverages efficiently and promptly.
Ensure customer satisfaction and handle basic customer feedback professionally.
Maintain dining area cleanliness, table turnover, and overall cafe ambiance.
Operational Support
Assist in basic food preparation, plating, garnishing when required.
Support kitchen team during peak periods.
Manage takeaway and delivery orders (GrabFood/FoodPanda/etc.).
Refill condiments, cutlery, and dining essentials.
Cashiering & POS
Operate POS/QR payment systems.
Handle cash and digital payments accurately.
Ensure proper end-of-day cash balancing.
Hygiene & Safety
Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
Maintain proper sanitation of dining area, service counter, and equipment.
Follow SOPs for handling food, waste segregation, and stock rotation (FIFO).
Teamwork & Communication
Work closely with outlet team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Communicate effectively with kitchen, barista, and management teams.
Support new crew training when required.
Other Duties
Participate in stock counting, receiving goods, and basic inventory tasks.
Assist in cafe events, promotions, and seasonal menu launches.
Perform any other duties assigned by Outlet Supervisor/Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Minimum SPM or equivalent.
Experience in F&B or cafe environment is an added advantage.
Fresh graduates or first-job seekers are encouraged to apply.
