Position Details Professional, Full Time (Contract) This position is responsible to administer, deploy, support and upgrade applications and Operating Systems that are running on computer systems across the campus.
\xef\xbb\xbfKey responsibilities:

  • \xef\xbb\xbfPerform day-to-day technical support for ICT related equipment such as PC desktop, notebook, tablet, projector, document camera, printer, scanner, audio-visual equipment, and etc.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfPerform day-to-day technical support for general software application such as MS Windows, MAC OS, MS Office, MS Outlook, Internet browsers, Antivirus and other authorised software.
  • Perform daily routine checking on ICT equipment installed in teaching and learning venues.
  • Provide technical and standby support to ICT equipment set up for events.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfMaintain and monitor user\xe2\x80\x99s hardware and software to ensure high availability.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfBasic network setup and troubleshoot user\xe2\x80\x99s networked computers and peripherals.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfRespond to service issues and requests in a timely manner.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfProvide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfManage and update hardware and software.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfTest and evaluate new technology.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfExplore relevant ICT solution related to operations.

\xef\xbb\xbfRequired qualification:
  • \xef\xbb\xbfA bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.

\xef\xbb\xbfSelection Criteria:
  • \xef\xbb\xbfAt least one (1) to two (2) years of hands on technical support and troubleshooting experience. However, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfFamiliar with Microsoft OS products/software. Knowledge and experience in Linux is highly regarded.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfBasic knowledge in PA system such as microphone, speakers, audio mixer, amplifier is an added advantage.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfPossess problem solving skills, technical and logical thought process.
  • Possess highly developed interpersonal skills and conversant in spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfDemonstrated ability to work effectively; both independently and in a team enviornment.
  • \xef\xbb\xbfDetailed oriented, a positive attitude and skills in providing a high quality customer service.\xef\xbb\xbf
