About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Service Engineer to join our team at HLM Machinery Sdn Bhd in Bintulu and Kuching, Sarawak. As a full-time Service Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting our after-sales service operations and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and effective machinery servicing and maintenance.

What you'll be doing

Oversee workshop operations, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting of all machinery. Coordinate the daily workshop schedule and allocate manpower and resources effectively. Supervise and follow up on the actual progress of each repair or maintenance job. Ensure warranties are properly followed up, monitored, documented, and updated in accordance with SANY procedures and requirements. Ensure the accurate and timely preparation, submission, and record-keeping of all maintenance reports, checklists, work orders, delivery orders, and equipment histories. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and define breakdown problems. Provide technical guidance to team members to ensure effective performance. Ensure training for the workshop team is conducted in line with service requirements. Manage workshop performance to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Control the budget and expenditures related to repair and maintenance jobs. Coordinate service activities within west Malaysia, also for subsidiaries and other branches as required. Liaise professionally with customers and China manufacturers for technical matters and support.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering Proficiency in Mandarin (able to liaise with suppliers from China) Possession of a valid Class D driving license Strong technical knowledge in hydraulic, engine, and electrical systems Good planning, leadership, and communication skills Able to work independently and travel to sites when necessary
