D&D Laboratory Sdn Bhd was founded in 2015 by a group of professional chemists experienced in chemical and environmental control testing. We offer Consultation, Approach, Technologies and Solution (CATS) to tailor-made laboratories. We have over 2,000 general-purpose and specialised glassware and reusable plastic laboratory products. We are a leading distributor of renowned and high-quality general laboratory and scientific equipment of the best brands known as Seal Analytical, Environmental Express, Daigger, SCP Science and Witeg in Malaysia.

Our products support research and production across diverse end user markets including pharmaceutical, scientific research, industrial, semiconductor, and healthcare.

Position Description

As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities include the service, maintenance, repair, testing, and calibration of complex equipment with minimum supervision. You will perform mid-level to advanced customer support activities including equipment installation, equipment and/or product troubleshooting and repair, equipment maintenance, and assist with equipment testing, start-up, and validation activities as needed. You will also positively interacts with customers to solve technical problems and identify areas to improve their work.

Responsibilities

Provides onsite installation of instruments, upgrades, updates, repairs and planned maintenance service Displays professionalism, understanding, discretion, fairness and technical knowledge in all customer interactions Collaborates with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes. Is familiar with and follow policies that pertain to the handling of spare parts: ordering, usage, returns, physical count, car stock management Maintains their technical competency level servicing new instrument and problems by attending trainings, staff meetings and remaining up to speed on new products, markets, customers and competitors May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry or related field or equivalent work experience and knowledge With or without experience are welcome Uses effective questioning to identify customer needs Exercises judgment setting work priorities and identifies next steps Requires minimal oversight Participates as a positive influence to the team Quickly adapts to change with positive and constructive feedback Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply Possess own transport and willing to travel

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a clinical, diagnostics and/or other regulated environment Aptitude for learning and understanding IT systems and processes Experience in related product applications

Working Conditions

Frequent travel to customer site is required and ranges from 25-75% of work time. Works both in home, office as well as in a laboratory environment. Is required to lift up to 20kg. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials. Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
