A leading regional beverage manufacturer is recruiting for a Shift Assistant Manager job to be based in Selangor, Malaysia. The successful applicant will be responsible for the process and production of the entire facility while partnering with maintenance and quality to drive process improvement activities.

About the Shift Assistant Manager Role:
As the Shift Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for providing daily direction, strengthening processes, optimum planning and structure across production floor to create an autonomous and efficient environment for both machine and man to excel. You will have a team of operators supporting you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee daily plant operations within the production shift team
• Commit to operational targets - best product quality, on-time delivery and cost effective execution of production tasks
• Ensure compliance to ISO, GMP and FSSC systems
• Proactively contribute to continuous improvements on plants and processes
• Implement best practice culture by training, competence development and sharing key knowledge within the total production team - develop and present technical training as required to minimise competence gaps
• Secure good communication in between the shifts and within the department overall

In order for you to excel in this role, you must be willing to work in shifts with background in FMCG manufacturing and operating in a modern manufacturing environment will be an added advantage. This will involve lean structure, highly autonomous environment, and if you have strong leadership in leading a lean team, you will certainly enjoy it.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Biotechnology or equivalent
• Minimum of five years\' working experience operating in the FMCG manufacturing industry
• A good balanced of production, technical, and process know-how
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills in English
• Able to work independently
• Solid experience in GMP and food safety systems
• Readiness to work in shifts
