About the Job
We're looking for a
Shift Leader
to support the smooth daily operations of one of our outlets in Malaysia. In this role, you'll supervise crew members during your shift, ensure service and food quality standards are met, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. You'll help drive sales, handle basic cash and inventory tasks, and guide the team to deliver great customer experiences. As a Shift Leader, you'll play a key role in supporting the Store Manager and inspiring your team to perform their best.
What You'll Do
Lead and guide crew members during your shift
-- assign tasks, monitor performance, and support training to maintain high standards.
Ensure smooth operations throughout your shift
-- including service speed, food quality, cleanliness, and hygiene according to company SOPs and Malaysia's standards.
Manage shift scheduling needs
-- handle attendance, adjust manpower on the spot, and ensure efficient coverage.
Assist with inventory and cash handling
-- track stock usage, report discrepancies, and ensure accurate shift closing records.
Support outlet performance
-- help control wastage, maintain portion accuracy, and achieve sales targets for your shift.
Handle customer interactions
-- resolve issues and feedback promptly to keep guests satisfied.
Report to the Store Manager
-- provide updates on shift performance, team issues, and operational needs.
Requirements
2-3 years of experience in F&B or retail (QSR, cafe, restaurant) in Malaysia, with some supervisory or team lead responsibilities.
Strong teamwork and basic leadership skills -- able to guide and motivate crew during shifts.
Knowledge of Malaysia's food safety and hygiene standards is an advantage.
Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Melayu.
Flexible to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Hands-on, customer-focused, and proactive in problem-solving.
Eligible to work in Malaysia.
