Every minute of every day, our technology and talented team members help to make the world a safer place -Co-ordinates with Planning team that MADs will be met for both machine build and accessories respectively through \'Clear to Ship\' procedure.Work actively with internal and external stakeholders, escalating where necessary or appropriate, to remove roadblocks preventing shipment and recognition of revenue for Smiths Detection Malaysia.Represent the Supply Chain Team in meetings with Global stakeholders related to the allocation of finished goods. Ensures booking confirmations made on time and be main point of contact for support with shipment obstacles. Assure that all shipping orders are completed and shipping is made on-time to satisfy customer requirements.Work with planning teams to ensure robust shipment projections and bookings made with freight forwarders to secure container space for inter-company shipments. Work closely with local and regional Logistics & Trade Compliance stakeholders to ensure outbound compliance. Drive improvement by promoting best practice and process excellence in SDM shipping department.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities -

  • Work with key shipping stakeholders to ensure timely Preparation of DN, Packing List, Customs Invoices and Picking List for items due for delivery and ensure submission to OTI for approval on time
  • Monitor and ensure that AELB permit applied and received for Xray Machines before shipment out of SDM
  • Support and oversee the arranging and coordinating of delivery with OTI, sales and appointed forwarder to meet the MAD date
  • Support and coordinate with Production or Material Handler to ensure packaging of GDC and MRB FG is done according to the required standard and timely.
  • Support the coordination with 3PL Warehouse team to ensure effective co-ordination and consolidation of accessories with finished goods shipments
  • Monitor, log and report on outbound cost including expediting freight and to drive meeting outbound cost budget
  • Point of contact for approving overtime in outbound shipping and packaging partners.
  • Keep up with all paperwork and documentation on the daily basis of all shipping and receiving, and assure posting of all activities into SAP.
  • Work closely with Factory Planning team to provide workload forecast to packing subcontractor.
  • Raise RFQ for outbound shipment as per requested to the freight forwarders.
  • Ensure accuracy of FG stock between system and physical
  • Preparation of packaging cost for budget purpose
  • Analyze monthly KPI\'s and report on spend trends related to outbound freight
  • Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Competency to perform Dangerous Good declaration to forwarder and ensure compliance to DG regulatory act.
  • To liaise with sourcing team for the competitive pricing and recommended logistic solution.
  • To verify the invoice received from outbound forwarder for finance payment.
  • Other duties as required.
The IndividualSkills & Experience -
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant professional certifications
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, or Logistics environment; experience in shipping would be advantageous
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in international logistics environment
  • Demonstrable
  • Good skill in Excel
  • Good working knowledge of SAP
  • Strong knowledge of import and export compliance regulations in Malaysia
  • Strong understanding of Incoterms
  • Have the ability to solve Problems with minimal help
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
