Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced

Shotfirer / Quarry Manager

to manage daily quarry operations, blasting activities, and ensure full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Candidates

must

possess valid blasting and quarry-related licences.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, supervise and execute blasting activities in accordance with legal and safety standards Manage overall quarry operations including production, safety, manpower and equipment Ensure compliance with

Mineral Development Act (MDA)

, local authorities, and DOSH regulations Prepare shotfiring documents, blast reports, risk assessments and safety plans Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, engineers and management team Conduct site inspections, safety briefings and continuous improvement initiatives Monitor production output, quality, equipment usage and cost efficiency Maintain explosives storage, transportation and handling according to regulations Report daily/weekly operational updates to management

Required Licences & Certifications

Candidates

must

possess the following valid licences/certificates:

Mandatory:

Shot Firer Certificate / Shotfirer Licence

Basic Explosives Handling (BEH) / Competent Explosive Handling Certificate

CIDB Green Card

First Aid Certificate

Bonus / Highly Preferred:

Quarry Manager Certificate / Quarry Manager Competency (if applicable)

Authorized Entrant & Stand-by Person (AESP)

Safety & Health-related training (e.g. HIRARC, OSHA)

Requirements

Minimum 3 years experience in quarry, mining or blasting operations Strong understanding of quarry safety, blasting guidelines, and regulatory requirements Able to lead a team and handle daily site operations independently Physically fit and able to work outdoors Strong communication and problem-solving skills Responsible, disciplined and safety-focused

Working Hours

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

, Monday to Saturday 1-hour lunch break
