Position Overview:

We are looking for a competent Shunt Driver at Jasin, Melaka to move trailers and containers within our facility or between locations in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trucking regulations and safety protocols, along with excellent driving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Operate shunt prime mover to move containers to designated areas within the facility or between locations. Perform safety checks on shunt prime mover and trailers before and after each shift. Follow all company policies and procedures, as well as relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Communicate effectively with planners, supervisors, and other team members to ensure efficient operations. Maintain accurate records of shunting activities, including container number, time movements, and remarks on any important events, and submit the work ticket accordingly. Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. supervisors, and other team members to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications:

Valid commercial driver's license (E Full) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a shunt driver or in a similar role preferred. Familiarity with shunt prime mover and other yard equipment. Strong understanding of prime mover regulations and safety procedures. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.

Salary ranges from RM 3,900 - RM 4,500 based on shunt container per month.
