An exciting Site Controller/Finance Director job has just become available at a prestigious electronics manufacturing firm, based in Kedah.

About the Site Controller/Finance Director Role:
Reporting to the Asia Regional Controller, with dotted line to the Site General Managers, the Site Controller/Finance Director will support in helping the site to scale while ensuring fiduciary responsibility for the GBS centre (shared services) in Penang.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a Strategic Business Partner to the Site GMs and the rest of their leadership teams, advising on key business decisions around customers, supply chain operations, investments, business models, tax optimisation, driving productivity and efficiency among others
• Manage activities associated with the financial planning process, reporting and advice on finance, control and administration (including tax, treasury, insurances and audit) and taking overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs at the site
• Prepare insightful and accurate financial analysis including providing an overview of the financial implications of decisions, product pricing, and profitability
• Review, analyse and interpret financial and budgetary information as well as making decisions on finance-related operational and administrative matters at the site
• Coordinate and consolidate order forecasts, revenue forecasts, manufacturing and operations costs for multi-year timeframes
• Simplify and improve existing processes as well as developing new processes to continually improve overall quality
• Manage financial and accounting personnel within the department
• Staff, assign work, review performance and address performance issues; where appropriate provide coaching and development
• Develop policies, procedures and controls to provide work direction
• Develop the finance team and hire new team members as appropriate

To succeed in this role, you must understand how to partner with the business, constructively challenge the status quo, and develop the next generation of Finance professionals.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree. Accounting designation is recommended
• 10 - 12 years of applicable applicable experience and in a senior management role
• Breadth of knowledge is an asset
• Site and supply chain experience and MNC exposure is strongly recommended
• Strong finance skills and knowledge around accounting standards
• Business controlling mindset and hands-on experience
