The Position

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site IT Intern to join our team and assist in various IT operational tasks. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the Site IT Operations Specialist, gaining hands-on experience in IT support, asset management, and documentation processes. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn about IT operations within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

SOP Documentation:

• Collaborate with the Site IT Operations Specialist to assist in completing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation for the IT team.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of IT processes and procedures.
• Contribute to the maintenance and updates of existing SOPs.

Shadow Learning:

• Learn from and shadow the Site IT Operations Specialist to gain insight into IT operations and support procedures.
• Participate in hands-on training sessions to understand the day-to-day responsibilities of the team.

New Hire IT Onboarding:

• Support the IT team in onboarding new hires by configuring and provisioning IT equipment and accounts.
• Provide initial IT orientation and troubleshooting assistance to new employees.

IT Asset Management:

• Participate in stock count activities to maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory.
• Assist in migrating data to a new asset management tool and ensure data accuracy.
• Contribute to the documentation of asset management processes and updates.

User Issue Handling:

• Serve as a backup to the Site IT Operations Specialist for addressing daily user issues and technical support requests.
• Collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve hardware and software-related problems.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of IT principles, mainly in hardware, and software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other commonly used IT tools.
