Job Description

  • Prepare Monthly Claim: Assisting in the resolution of claims and disputes, including preparing supporting documentation, participating in negotiation processes, and providing expert advice on cost-related matters.
  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Collaborating with the project team to estimate project costs, prepare budgets, and monitor cost control throughout the construction process.
  • Quantity Takeoff and Measurement: Conducting detailed quantity takeoffs from project drawings and specifications, accurately measuring quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required. To carry out site valuation / site measurement for contractors claim
  • Contract Management: Administering and managing contracts, including reviewing contract terms and conditions, preparing contract documents, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Review, support and create savings on Preliminary cost estimate against budget cost during pre-contract stage.
  • Variation and Change Management: Assessing and managing variations and changes to the scope of work, including evaluating their impact on project costs and negotiating with contractors and clients to reach mutually acceptable agreements.
  • Subcontractor Management: Evaluating subcontractor bids, negotiating contracts, and monitoring subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project requirements and cost control.
  • Progress Monitoring and Payment Assessment: Monitoring construction progress, conducting site visits, verifying completed work, and preparing payment certificates for contractors and subcontractors.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination: Supporting staff, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and Headquarters to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Undertaking additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree / Diploma / Quantity Surveyor / Civil Engineering / Contract Management or equivalent
  • At least minimum 8-10 years working experience with construction industry.Candidates must posses Bachelor\'s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Quantity Surveyor or Equivalent.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of pre and post contract works, cost control budget and contractual issues.
  • Preferably well verse with JKR claim, structural project
  • Possess excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft office, Excel and Words.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract Salary: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Pendang: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
