Job Responsibilities

As a Cloud Security Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Continuously improving the security of Pos Malaysia's cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.). Reviewing and optimizing current cloud configurations to ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices. Monitoring infrastructure vulnerabilities, prioritizing them, and ensuring timely patching. Reviewing cloud users and their access roles (including human accounts, API keys, service accounts, etc.). Maintaining and operating the existing Micro-Segmentation solution to restrict traffic at both server and cloud levels. Regularly testing and validating zero-trust capabilities to ensure readiness as a fallback solution. Working with the Firewall Engineer to review and manage cloud firewall policies and user access. Maintaining and optimizing the Web Application Firewall (WAF) to defend against malicious traffic, DDoS, and bot attacks. Collaborating with the Cloud Operations Team to design, implement, and test Disaster Recovery capabilities. Providing support to internal teams for technical troubleshooting and incident response. Partnering with internal stakeholders to identify security gaps and enhance overall cloud security posture and response capabilities. Assisting in the design, evaluation, and implementation of new security technologies. Managing multiple priorities and assignments while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or equivalent practical experience. Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, ISMS, ITIL, etc.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in Cloud Computing technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) 2+ years of experience in Vulnerability Management 1+ year of hands-on experience with Micro-Segmentation 1+ year of experience in managing Web Application Firewalls
