Site Safety Supervisor

Location: Jelutong, Penang

Job Summary:

The Site Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all construction site activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. This role focuses on monitoring daily operations, enforcing safety standards, and cultivating a strong safety culture among workers, subcontractors, and site management.

Key Responsibilities:

o Safety Compliance:

Ensure full compliance with DOSH and other relevant regulations. Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.

o Monitoring & Enforcement:

Supervise workers to ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work procedures at all times.

o Incident Management:

Report, record, and assist in investigating accidents, near misses, or unsafe acts. Prepare necessary reports and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

o Toolbox Meetings:

Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings before work begins.

o Safety Documentation

: Maintain up-to-date safety records, inspection checklists, and safety reports as required by the management and authorities.

o Training & Awareness

: Assist in implementing safety training and awareness programs for workers and subcontractors.

o Coordination:

Work closely with the Safety & Health Officer (SHO), Site Engineer, and Project Manager to ensure all site activities meet safety standards.

o Emergency Preparedness:

Ensure emergency response procedures are communicated, understood, and practiced by all site personnel.

Qualifications:

o Education:

Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.

o Certification:

Possess a valid

Yellow Book (Registered Site Safety Supervisor with DOSH).

o Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in construction site safety supervision. Familiarity with civil and marine construction is an advantage.

o Skills:

Good communication and leadership skills. Able to identify hazards and provide practical safety solutions.

o Physical Requirements:

Able to perform site inspections and work in outdoor construction environments.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working on active construction sites and under various weather conditions. Appropriate safety gear must be worn at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 48 months

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
