Site Safety Supervisor

Job Description

A Site Safety Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel working at a construction site or industrial facility. They are responsible for implementing safety protocols, conducting inspections, providing training, and enforcing safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field (preferred). Yellow Book Holder Relevant safety certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certifications). Experience in safety supervision on construction sites or industrial facilities. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Safety Inspections:



Conduct regular safety inspections of the construction site or facility to identify hazards and non-compliance with safety standards.

Document and report any safety violations or concerns to the site manager and relevant authorities.


Safety Training:



Organize and deliver safety training programs for all personnel, including new hires and subcontractors.

Ensure that workers understand and follow safety procedures and guidelines.

Provide training on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).


Safety Procedures and Policies:



Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines tailored to the specific site or facility.

Ensure that all workers are aware of and adhere to safety policies.


Emergency Preparedness:



Establish emergency response plans and procedures for incidents such as fires, chemical spills, and medical emergencies.

Conduct drills and exercises to ensure workers know how to respond to emergencies.


Incident Reporting:



Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine their causes and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.

Maintain accurate records of all safety-related incidents and their outcomes.


Safety Equipment and Gear:



Ensure the availability and proper maintenance of safety equipment and gear, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and fall protection systems.

Verify that all workers use appropriate PPE.


Safety Communication:



Facilitate open and clear communication about safety issues between management, workers, and subcontractors.

Conduct safety meetings to discuss concerns and provide updates on safety performance.


Regulatory Compliance:



Stay informed about relevant safety regulations and standards, and ensure the site or facility is in compliance with them.

Interface with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.


Hazard Mitigation:



Identify and prioritize safety hazards and risks.

Develop and implement measures to mitigate hazards and minimize risks.


Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,600.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
