Job Description

Job Responsibilities :

• To enforce Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) 1994 at all work site.
• Conduct safety induction and safety briefing to site personnel(Toolbox Meeting).
• Responsible to ensure site safety compliance through site audit and issue NCR reports for compliance.
• Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and authorized department (eg. Bomba, CIDB, Jabatan Kesihatan and etc.) to maintain company progressive safety standards and requirement.
• Prepare monthly Safety Audit Report to the management
• Advise management of changes in safety legislation and all matters pertaining to occupational safety, health and environmental.
• Determine the cause of any accident or dangerous occurrence and recommend mean of preventing recurrence.
• Keep up-to-date with recommended codes of practice and new safety literatureand circulate information applicable to each level of employee.
• To ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained, I.e, periodic checking of fire facilities, verifying first aid kits and ensuring vehicle and equipment are maintained following the appropriate schedule.
• Carry out necessary HIRARC, Risk Assessment of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety procedures required for construction site and ensure all workers adhere to safe work practices.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Project Manager / Project Director from time to time.

Job Requirements :

• Candidate must possess a Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) yellow book registered with DOSH/JKKP (Valid).
• Competent First Aider and Fire Warden will be added advantage.
• Knowledge in working at heights and confined space.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Possess own transport. Willing to travel to any project site at any time.
• Commitment to stay on site
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Good attitude, positive minded, self-starter, independent and good team worker.
