Job Description

Supervise daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tools, and work areas to identify unsafe conditions or practices. Ensure all workers and subcontractors adhere to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements. Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for high-risk activities. Recommend corrective actions and follow up on implementation. Stop unsafe work immediately and escalate to the Project Manager if required. Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings for workers and subcontractors. Promote a safety-first culture through awareness programs and campaigns. Ensure compliance with local occupational safety and health regulations (e.g., DOSH in Malaysia). Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, near-misses, and corrective actions. Prepare safety reports, audit findings, and monthly safety performance updates. Monitor availability and readiness of firefighting equipment, first aid kits, and emergency procedures. Act as site first responder in case of accidents or emergencies until further medical help arrives. Participate in emergency drills and update evacuation plans as necessary.
