The Site Safety Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the implementation of safety policies, procedures, and regulations on the construction site. The role involves monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with safety standards, conducting regular safety inspections, providing training to workers on safety practices, and addressing any safety concerns. The incumbent will work closely with site management to minimize risk, prevent accidents, and promote a culture of safety among all workers.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance Monitoring:
Ensure that all site operations adhere to local safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
Conduct Site Inspections:
Perform daily safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure that the necessary safety measures are in place.
Implement Safety Programs:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs that promote awareness and adherence to safety guidelines among site personnel.
Risk Assessment:
Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to mitigate hazards and reduce accidents.
Safety Training:
Provide safety training and toolbox talks to workers, ensuring they are informed about proper safety procedures, equipment usage, and emergency response protocols.
Accident Investigation:
Investigate any incidents or near misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and maintain emergency response plans and ensure that all site personnel are familiar with evacuation procedures and safety protocols.
Safety Equipment Management:
Ensure that all safety equipment (PPE, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc.) is readily available, properly maintained, and in good working condition.
Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, accident reports, training sessions, and other safety-related documentation.
Collaborate with Site Management:
Work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and other stakeholders to implement safety measures and resolve any safety issues.
Report Safety Performance:
Provide regular safety performance reports and updates to the management team.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
Certified Site Safety Supervisor (Yellow Book) by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysia.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in site safety supervision, preferably in construction projects such as water treatment plants or other infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian safety regulations, OSHA standards, and safety management systems.
Proven ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement safety solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and guide site workers on safety protocols.
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
