Job Description

Job Summary:

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on construction sites to ensure that work is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, timelines and quality standards. The role includes supervising site staff, coordinating subcontractors, managing resources and ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure timely and quality execution of the work. Coordinate labor, materials and subcontractor work to meet project deadlines. Enforce safety protocols and conduct daily safety inspections to ensure a hazard-free site. Review and interpret construction drawings, specifictions and schedules. Liase with engineers, architects, quantity surveyors and project managers to resolve on-site issues. Monitor progress and prepare detailed daily, weekly and monthly site reports. Maintain accurate site records including attendance, material usage and incident reports. Ensure all construction work is carried out in compliance with local building codes and regulations. Conduct regular toolbox talks and site briefings with workers. Support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling and budgeting tasks when required.

Job Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in supervisory role in the construction industry. Occupational Safety & Helath Certification (e.g. OSHA, CSCS, NEBOSH or local equivalent) (Preferred) First Aid and Fire Safety Training (Preferred) Solid understanding of construction methods, procedures and safety standards. Ability to read and interpret technical construction drawings and plans. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving, communication and organizational abilities. Proficiency in MS Office, experience with construction management software is an advantage. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different site locations
