is responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction site operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution & Site Management
Supervise and coordinate daily site activities and site workforce.
Monitor site progress against the approved project schedule and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and safety standards.
Coordinate closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to meet project timelines and requirements.
2. Quality Control & Compliance
Conduct routine site inspections and take immediate corrective action to resolve construction issues.
Support procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials to maintain smooth site operations.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, manpower deployment, and material usage.
Enforce workplace health and safety practices, ensuring full PPE compliance at all times.
Liaise with relevant authorities and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g. CIDB, DOSH).
Assist in preparing progress reports, site documentation, inspection records, and related reports.
3. Problem Solving & Process Improvement
Identify and resolve on-site issues, discrepancies, or conflicts in drawings and construction works.
Provide practical solutions to site challenges and escalate complex issues when required.
Recommend improvements to site processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and overall project outcomes.
4. General & Ad-Hoc Duties
Assist management with other project-related tasks as assigned.
Attend site meetings, client walkthroughs, inspections, and coordination meetings when required.
Requirements & Skills
Minimum
5 years of working experience
in a similar role within the
Malaysian construction industry
.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards (CIDB, DOSH).
Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Able to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced site environment.
