The job holder is responsible for managing key accounts allocated to him/her, to achieve sales, revenue and retention targets. The jobholder is required to actively monitor the services and develop relationships with these merchants and maximize new business and cross sell opportunities and to deepen the merchant relationship with GP.

The principle function is to increase the market share and profitability of his/her given portfolio through relationship management of the key merchants and recruitment of high end merchants to meet his/her targets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor and reviewing sales performance indicators, particularly productivity and profitability of key merchants, identify out-of trend performance and develop remedial measures to address them
  • Maintain personal contact and build rapport with management personnel of key merchants through structured visits and participation in merchant functions, ensuring the merchants\xe2\x80\x99 feedback and needs are heard and acted upon
  • Develop and execute an action plan to maximize sales and profitability of their given portfolio
  • Actively solicit and pursuit high end targeted merchants, identifying opportunities and develop them
  • Analyze market development, competitor activity and evaluation of merchants\xe2\x80\x99 feedbacks and complaints, evaluate and enhance propositions that meet merchants\xe2\x80\x99 needs and propose internal enhancements to meet these needs
Personal Competencies Required
  • Entrepreneurial character, capable of developing & executing an effective sales strategy for the key merchant accounts assigned
  • Able to plan, organize and make effective sales presentations
  • Excellent organization, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills when dealing with merchants
  • Self-motivated & adaptable to changing conditions in the work place
  • Mature and independent, able to work well with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities
  • High achiever able to develop local market for Global products
  • Willingness to travel and posses own transport
  • Only candidate with permanent residence in Malaysia will be considered
Experience/Knowledge Requirements
  • Tertiary educated preferred. Graduate from Business, Management or Marketing discipline will be an asset
  • Three years and above sales experience in credit card merchant acquiring business is a plus
