Job Description

1. SMT Line Setup & Operation

Set up screen printers, pick-and-place machines, SPI, AOI, and reflow ovens.
Load feeders, components, materials, and verify part numbers and polarity.
Perform program loading, alignment checks, and first-article verification.
Monitor machine performance and ensure stable production flow.
2. Troubleshooting & Process Control

Diagnose and correct issues such as misalignment, tombstoning, solder bridging, and missing components.
Troubleshoot feeder faults, nozzle problems, vacuum issues, and machine errors.
Optimize printing parameters, placement accuracy, and reflow temperature profiles.
Support continuous improvement of SMT processes.
3. Quality Control & Inspection

Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and ongoing in-process checks.
Review SPI/AOI results and take corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and internal quality standards.
Document defects and assist in root-cause analysis.
Preventive Maintenance (PM)

Conduct routine cleaning, calibration, lubrication, and upkeep of SMT equipment.
Maintain nozzles, feeders, and vision systems to reduce downtime.
Record all maintenance activities following SOPs.
5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate production logs, defect reports, and downtime records.
Provide clear shift handover documentation.
Support engineers with data for process improvements and new product introduction (NPI).
Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma/Certificate in Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering, or related field.
Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.
1-3 years of experience in SMT manufacturing (preferred).
Knowledge of PCB assembly processes, SMT components, and soldering principles.
Ability to read drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
Basic understanding of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).
Ability to use microscopes, multimeters, rework equipment, and measurement tools.
Willingness to work rotating shifts/overtime as needed.
