Job Description

JOB RESPONSBILITIES 1. Conduct laboratory analysis on routine and non-routine samples as per schedule and in accordance with established procedures to ensure reliable result being produced in timely manner. 2. Conduct equipment basic care (EBC), Statistical Quality Control (SQC), calibration activities, proficiency testing, intra and interlab crosscheck as per schedule and perform basic trouble-shooting to ensure analysis continuity. 3. Monitor, prepare and standardize reagents and standards so that analysis carried out accurately in timely manner. 4. Produce results in LIMS or any other reporting platform as requested by customers to fulfil Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirement. 5. Participate and supervise in laboratory HSE activities and recommend for improvement for safer and conducive work place. 6. Participate and implement Laboratory Management System as per standard ISO 17025 and ensure compliance to the requirement of Malaysian Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SAMM). 7. Check and maintain inventories of chemicals, spare parts, consumable and records in order to ensure the availability of the resources. 8. Provide training and knowledge sharing to new laboratory staff to equip them with relevant skills and competency to perform the required analysis. 9. Respond to and participate in plant emergency as Emergency Response Team member or as first aider in order to support plant emergency response activities. 10. Perform assessment modules according to respective grade within given time frame to achieve higher level of competency. QUALIFICATIONS . Minimum Certificate from INSTEPS /Diploma in Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics or any related certificate or Diploma in related field from recognised institutions. . Excellence communication skills (both written and verbal) . Good computer skills MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and etc) REQUIREMENTS . Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in Oil & Gas industry. Must have theoretical and practical knowledge on all aspects of plants . Possesses good trouble shooting skills, resourceful and able to evaluate unusual circumstances . Must be conversant with HSE standards, rules and regulations, MS ISO 9001:2000, MS ISO 14001, procedures and company policies . Compliance to instructions, quality and safety. . A team player .
