Soft Services Coordinator will manage inventory of housekeeping supplies and lead housekeeping staff to provide a safe, clean, and well-maintained client premises. The individual in this role will communicate regularly with staff at various levels to ensure that staff and members receive immediate assistance related to cleanliness and upkeep of the client property.Know How:Housekeeping of Data Centre and Office Cleaning. • Ensures person is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintains upkeep of assigned areas and equipment. May monitor and train cleaners to perform wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, painting, vacuuming, seasonal activities, and general cleaning of any area assigned.
• Responsible for supervising all housekeeping staff. Direct and redirect staff in proper cleaning techniques and procedures. If disciplinary action is needed, speak to supervisor.
• Schedule housekeeping staff and manage hours within department budget guidelines.
• Operates related motorized and non-motorized equipment.
• Assists with the coordination of contracted housekeeping projects. Example: professional floor/carpet cleaning, and other housekeeping projects that arise.
• Ensures client building is secure during and following housekeeping shifts and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Meets with supervisor and other branch leadership staff to communicate efficient housekeeping procedures.
• Assist with coordination of room/event setup as needed for board meetings, staff meetings, programs, events, etc.
• Must be reliable, self-motivated, and self-starter.
• Attends all staff meetings as requested and in-service trainings.
• Responsible for learning emergency procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring housekeeping/maintenance supply inventory and ordering is done in a timely manner.
• Manages all safety data sheets for the site
• Works closely with property/maintenance staff to operate a well maintained client building.
• Carries out other duties as assigned by supervisor or executive level leadership.
• Ensure recycling program is performed and waste disposal is carried out by the vendor.
• Monitor pest control services and engage pest company for any pest infestations.
