Competencies and Skills

Education

Bachelor's Degree in

Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science

, or a related discipline.

Experience

4-7 years

or

7-9 years

of experience in

ETL development

and

data migration

within

banking or financial institutions

. Proven experience working in

MSSQL

and

Oracle

database environments.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement, Design & Development

Design, develop, and maintain

ETL pipelines

using

Apache NiFi

for data extraction, transformation, and loading into

MSSQL-based SCDW

. Build and maintain

data ingestion frameworks

to integrate data from multiple regional sources (e.g.,

BDW, EIS, 1F, OBDA, SASRWA

). Develop

automated reconciliation

and

anomaly detection

processes between source systems and data warehouses. Ensure

auditability, scalability, and fault tolerance

in ETL workflow design. Optimize and fine-tune ETL processes for

high performance and reliability

. Troubleshoot and resolve

technical or process-related issues

during development, migration, and support phases. Implement

controls and validations

to ensure data stability, security, and compliance. Collaborate with

Group Sustainability

,

Climate Risk

, and

data owners

to translate business and regulatory reporting needs (e.g.,

CCPT, GSSIPS, financed emissions

) into ETL specifications. Establish

data validation

,

lineage tracking

, and

documentation

to ensure transparency and audit readiness. Support

data governance

initiatives through standardized data definitions and transformation logic. Ensure compliance with

SDLC standards

during all stages of ETL development and migration.

Technical & Functional Skills

Strong hands-on experience with

Apache NiFi

,

MSSQL

, and

data transformation scripting (Python/SQL)

. Skilled in

database design, development, and optimization

using

MSSQL

and

Oracle

. Experienced with

ETL batch processing

,

workflow automation

, and

data orchestration tools

. Knowledge of

data warehouse design

data governance

metadata management

. Familiar with

sustainability and climate risk data

ESG metrics

regulatory disclosure frameworks

(e.g.,

CCPT

TCFD

) -- an added advantage. Experience in

performance tuning

for database queries and ETL processes. Good understanding of

regulatory compliance

requirements in banking applications. Familiar with

SDLC processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM11,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month

Experience:
