Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership & Management

- Lead end-to-end development of web applications using Laravel.

- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.

- Liaise with project managers, stakeholders, and clients to gather requirements and present progress.

- Conduct code reviews, set best practices, and enforce coding standards.

2. Backend Development

- Build scalable and secure RESTful APIs and backend systems using Laravel.

- Design and manage database schemas and migrations (MySQL/PostgreSQL).

- Integrate third-party services (e.g. payment gateways, email, external APIs).

- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot backend issues.

3. Frontend Development

- Develop interactive user interfaces using Vue.js, React, or Blade.

- Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

- Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement modern, user-friendly interfaces.

4. DevOps & Deployment

- Manage deployments using tools like Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.

- Handle server setup and maintenance (Linux/Nginx/Apache).

- Monitor system health and performance, implement security best practices.

5. Mentorship & Team Collaboration

- Mentor and support junior developers.

- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and foster team learning.

- Promote Agile/Scrum workflows and participate in daily standups and sprint planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 3-4 years of hands-on Laravel development experience.

- Strong knowledge of PHP, Laravel, MySQL, and REST APIs.

- Proficiency in frontend frameworks like Vue.js, React, or Alpine.js.

- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS/Bootstrap.

- Experience with version control (Git), package managers (Composer, NPM).

- Familiar with unit testing, integration testing (PHPUnit, Pest).

- Experience with Docker, Linux CLI, and deployment automation tools.

- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Trello, or ClickUp for project tracking.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with multi-tenancy systems, queue workers, and event broadcasting.

- Exposure to microservices and API-driven architecture.

- Experience with Laravel packages such as Spatie, Laravel Horizon, Passport/Sanctum, Livewire, etc.

- Familiarity with AWS, DigitalOcean, or cloud hosting environments.

- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

- Able to manage priorities under pressure and tight deadlines.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
