The Datacenter Graphics and Accelerated Computing (DCGPU) organization is excited to hire an experienced individual to provide leadership and guidance as well manage a highly skilled team of debug engineers. The debug tools developers seek to understand AMD instinct system and GPU to ensure AMD delivers the best products for solving the world\'s most challenging problems in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC). The individual will be developing and implementing validation debug tool to help improve debug and diagnosis capabilities for AMD instinct products.THE PERSON:The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering, tool development and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop debug tools to provide support for validation team on their issue triage and debug activities.
• Work with different validation teams to understand their debug inefficiency and requirements and provide a solution to enhance their debug capabilities.
• Maintain and contribute to the team\'s solutions to address issues, add or enhance functionality and capabilities.
• Identify and execute list of qualification tests on actual platform ensure tools quality before release to validation team.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong Python and/or object-oriented programming background with C/C++ in a Linux development environment.
• Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience with web application development frameworks and CSS/HTML programming.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, InfluxDB and MySQL.
• Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus.
• Experience and understand validation debug methodologies is a plus.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills with team working spirits, willing to learn new techniques.
