II. Your Contribution (Key Responsibilities)

Drive the research and development of core features for our high-performance API Gateway and related infrastructure projects. Engage deeply in major sub-projects, including

Apache APISIX, Ingress Controller, and API7 Products

. Actively participate and collaborate within the global open-source community, including Code Review, RFC proposals, and managing Pull Requests (PRs). Implement and continuously refine

high-concurrency and high-availability

system architectures.
III. Candidate Profile (What We Look For)

Foundational Knowledge:

Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including networking protocols (TCP/HTTP) and the ability to diagnose complex network issues.

Development Proficiency:

Proven competence in a

Linux

development environment. Experience with the

Cloud-Native ecosystem

(Docker, Kubernetes) is a distinct advantage.

Professional Communication:

Professional proficiency in written English

is mandatory for technical documentation, global communication, and community interaction.

Mindset:

Highly self-motivated, with a genuine passion for open source and a desire to thrive in a decentralized, international team.
Preferred Experience (Bonus Points)

A track record of contributions, evidenced by submitted Pull Requests (PRs) to open-source projects on GitHub. Practical experience developing plugins for or using high-performance components like Nginx, Envoy, or OpenResty. Familiarity with Kubernetes Controller/Operator development patterns. Proficiency in a secondary programming language (e.g., C, Python, JavaScript). Prior project experience utilizing Go or Lua.
