Get to Know the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer, Fullstack to join the Service Management Platform Team. You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust service orchestration and deployment solutions that ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.
This is an onsite role based in First Avenue, Petaling Jaya.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will build service orchestration pipelines to handle service creation, lifecycle management, and deprecation of Microservices across Grab's systems.
• You will define and implement Service definitions and standards, design robust and consistent orchestration flows to management the Service lifecycle.
• You will work with other stakeholders to integrate Service and deployment best practices into team workflows.
• You will be part of the platformization braintrust, contributing to best inter-platform communication practices by design robust API interactions.
• You will contribute to on-call rotations and post-incident analyses.

Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Having Fullstack software engineering experience is a plus, ideally with proficiency in backend (Go, Kotlin, Python, Java) and frontend (React, Angular) languages.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS), with ability to debug and scale complex systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform), and orchestration languages (e.g., Ansible).
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring frameworks (e.g., ELK stack, Datadog, Grafana, Splunk).
• Experience in Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a plus.
