Dispatch Platform is one of the most critical systems in Grab responsible for Allocation, Batching and Matching for all Grab verticals including Transport, GrabFood, GrabExpress and GrabMart. Our services keep and maintain the whole lifecycle of Grab\'s bookings and orders. Our systems are running for the most critical logic and core algorithm to dispatch all Grabs\' bookings and orders for our consumers. If you have used Grab\'s service like Transport or Food, we are the ones who found you the optimal drivers for your booking/order.

As such, we are seeking talented & passionate Engineers to join our team, you will have opportunities to work on multiple Grab\xe2\x80\x99s core systems. It is very important that our team members take initiatives to identify problems, and have the right mindset and skill sets to solve them.

The Day-to-Day Activities

Design and implement RESTful APIs

Build and deploy performant modern web applications in React, Redux, Webpack, ES6, and Flow

Architect efficient and scalable backend systems

Write unit, functional and end-to-end tests

Write high-quality code (Go) that communicates with upstream backend services via HTTP APIs

Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues

Participate in code and design reviews

The Must-Haves

Experience shipping web applications to production

Familiarity with the whole web stack, web protocols, and web performance optimisation techniques

In-depth understanding of modern web frameworks

Detailed knowledge of minimum one modern JavaScript framework: React, Ember, Angular, etc

Proficient with at least one language commonly used for backend services development (C++, C, C#, Java etc.), but willing to work on Golang

Proficient understanding of the HTTP protocol

The Nice-to-Haves

Experience with ES6/ES2015 or ES7/ES2016

Experience with React, Redux/Flow

Experience with at least one CSS preprocessor: Sass, Less, PostCSS, Stylus, etc

Experience with setting up module bundlers such as Webpack, as well as plugins such as BabelJS and ESLint

Experience with noSQL database such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc

Knowledge of cloud technologies and experience with developing and deploying services on the cloud
