About the Role

We're looking for a

Software Engineer Intern

who's curious, hands-on, and passionate about building and improving digital systems -- from internal tools to applications and backend integrations.

You'll be part of our

Digital Transformation Partner

team, supporting both external digital platforms and internal systems across multiple business units. This role sits at the core of our digital ecosystem -- maintaining websites and e-commerce platforms, supporting marketing and automation workflows, and helping roll out internal systems for operations, management, and collaboration across departments. You'll also work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues, enhance configurations, and ensure all systems work smoothly together.

This internship offers

practical, end-to-end exposure

to how modern systems are built, connected, and deployed -- covering areas like web modules, database operations, and system integration.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining internal systems and digital platforms.

Support integration and automation workflows (API connections, data flows, and backend logic). Perform data and content updates, implement improvements, and document technical processes. Participate in testing, debugging, and optimizing digital tools used across teams. Contribute to the rollout and upkeep of HQ-level systems that standardize workflows and data across core business units. Collaborate with engineer, product owner, and vendor to ensure systems are stable and well-coordinated.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in

Computer Science

Information Technology

, or a related field. Basic understanding of

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

(familiarity with

Node.js

NestJS

is a plus). Comfortable working with

databases

and understanding data structure design; exposure to

MySQL

PostgreSQL

is a plus. Keen and open to learning

workflow automation

modern web and low-code platforms

. Strong logical thinking, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving. Proactive and adaptable, with a genuine eagerness to learn new frameworks and system architectures. Able to work

on-site in Kuala Lumpur

throughout the internship period.

Contract length: 3 - 6 months

Pay: RM1,000.00 - RM1,300.00 per month
