The Manufacturing Analytics Team is dedicated to enabling analytics and digital solutions within ResMed\'s Global Manufacturing Department. We are experimenting and establishing best practice for the manufacturing team by providing data solutions, technologies and software that will enable transformational analytics and digital solutions for our factories.Our manufacturing team is distributed across multiple regions and we make the effort to stay closely connected and collaborate effectively with our stakeholders. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and aim to always be caring and inclusive.The primary role of a Software Engineer within the Manufacturing Analytics Team is to create software solutions, designs and architecture for new digital products or improvements to existing solutions that deliver significant value for the business. We work closely with business stakeholders, developers and our Global Technology Solutions team to understand requirements and build our solutions. • Understand, design and implement custom Hybrid Data Solutions with IoT, Machine Data, AWS, Snowflake and Tableau.
• Work collaboratively with internal business and technical stakeholders as well as external parties to define, design, develop, test, deploy and support digital initiatives/solutions that deliver value for our global manufacturing teams and other relevant functional teams across ResMed.
• Design and maintain digital solutions, as well as the infrastructure, to meet business expectations covering customer satisfaction, effective cost management and regulatory requirements.
• Delivering improvements to existing applications. Expanding on the existing frameworks and implementing new products and features.
• Ensuring infrastructure quality through automated testing and integration testing frameworks.
• Support in improving and implementing CI/CD activities.
• Software and system root cause and fault analysis involving multiple sub-systems.
• Configure, monitor and improve observability solutions.
• Liaise with other project stakeholders to help ensure that the system objectives are met.
• Support broader digital manufacturing and other cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Present and communicate information effectively to relevant stakeholders across the ResMed organisation.
• Document all activities and generate appropriate reports for internal and external use as well as providing technical support where required.
• Build productive internal and external working relationships.

• Software engineering experience (1-3 years).
• Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (including AWS).
• Ability to create testable and robust software.
• Willingness to learn new skills and understand how to implement new technologies.

Preferred:

• Experience in SQL and Data Management.
• Experience coding in Python and using Terraform.
• Experience in industrial automation (exposure to OPC-UA and MQTT protocols).
• Experience working in the medical devices industry.
