ourteam is seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Software Engineer

with at least

3 years experience

and strong expertise in

PHP

to join an established financial technology company focused on payment gateway with secure and scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in backend development, particularly in building and maintaining secure, scalable systems.

Experience with

Java

is a strong advantage. This role involves leading development efforts, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the architecture of a payment gateway platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development:

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure PHP-based applications Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices Leverage Java experience where applicable to enhance system integration and performance

Technical Leadership:

Lead and mentor junior developers, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features

System Architecture:

Contribute to the design and architecture of backend systems, ensuring reliability and security Analyze existing systems and identify areas for improvement and optimization

Quality Assurance:

Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and automated tests Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, reliability, and security

Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and configurations Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, especially in online payments and data security

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on PHP backend systems Experience in payment gateway development is highly desirable Exposure to Java and ability to contribute to Java-based systems is an advantage Proven track record of leading development projects and mentoring junior developers

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in PHP and related frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) Experience with Java, Spring Framework, or Hibernate is a plus Strong understanding of database design and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL) Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a bonus Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and collaboration abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
