The Mobility mobile team is an established engineering team responsible for building features or improvements related to the core experience of Transportation service in the Grab passenger app.
We make an impact by delivering the ideal experience to the millions of consumers across SEA using Grab Transportation service every day.
Get to Know the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Software Engineer (iOS) to join our team. You will be reporting to Senior Software Engineering Manager. You will work on the iOS passenger app that millions of consumers use every day. We have exciting product ideas and engineering challenges awaiting your participation, and you will be the first one to experience your work in the Grab app!
This role is onsite based in our Petaling Jaya, Malaysia office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient iOS applications using Swift and the latest iOS technologies
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• You will ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• You will identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• You will help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• You will participate in code reviews and help improve our development processes
• You will stay up-to-date with the latest iOS development trends, technologies, and best practices
• You will work on integrating various APIs and third-party libraries
• You will contribute to the entire app lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, release, and support

Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
• You have 2 years of professional iOS development experience
• You have proficiency in Swift, iOS SDK, and frameworks (e.g., Core Data, Core Animation)
• You have experience with RESTful APIs, version control systems (preferably Git), and CI/CD processes
• You have knowledge of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines
• You have experience with the full mobile development life cycle
• You have experience with OOP, and architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM or VIPER)
