Join our team and embark on a rewarding career in an exciting, high-growth industry that offers great prospects for professional development and growth Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on the development and integration of software solutions for Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our EV charging infrastructure to meet the growing demands of the electric mobility industry. Responsibilities: Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for EV charger control systems, including firmware and embedded software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement software features that enhance the performance, reliability, and user experience of EV charging solutions. Communication Protocols: Develop and implement communication protocols to facilitate seamless interaction between EV chargers, central management systems, and other components of the electric vehicle ecosystem. Ensure compatibility with industry-standard protocols such as OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) and integrate with emerging standards. Fault Diagnosis and Resolution: Create diagnostic tools and implement fault detection mechanisms to identify and resolve software-related issues in EV charging systems promptly. Work closely with hardware engineers to troubleshoot and debug software and firmware issues. To work closely with helpdesk operators on resolving customer issues promptly. Security and Authentication: Implement robust security measures to safeguard EV charging infrastructure against potential cyber threats. Develop authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure secure access and control of EV chargers. Data Analytics and Reporting: Design and implement data analytics solutions to gather insights into charging patterns, energy consumption, and overall system performance. Generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders, utilizing collected data to optimize charging station operations. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications related to EV charging systems. Ensure software compliance with safety and performance standards set forth by regulatory bodies. Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives within the software engineering team. Stay informed about advancements in EV technology and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in software development for embedded systems and IoT devices. Familiarity with communication protocols such as OCPP, MQTT, and RESTful APIs. Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, and Python. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level programming. Familiarity with EV charging standards and protocols.
