Salary Range: RM3,000 - RM4,000 Job Scope: As a Software Test Engineer at FILPAL (M) SDN BHD, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated test scripts for our desktop applications, covering both frontend UI and backend components. You will play a key role in integrating testing into our development pipeline and ensuring the seamless delivery of software. Responsibilities: 1. Frontend UI Testing: * Develop and maintain automated test scripts for the frontend UI of desktop applications, ensuring a consistent and user-friendly interface. * Utilize C# and Python programming languages along with suitable testing frameworks (e.g., Appium) for effective UI automation. 2. Backend Testing: * Implement automated test scripts for backend components of desktop applications, validating data integrity, functionality, and system interactions. * Employ C# and Python to create robust backend test automation solutions. 3. Integration with CI/CD: * Integrate automated tests for both frontend and backend components into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using tools, GitLab CI. * Collaborate with the development team to automate deployment testing for desktop applications. 4. Performance and Load Testing: * Design and execute automated performance and load tests for both frontend and backend components, ensuring optimal overall system performance. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: * Work closely with frontend and backend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand software changes and features. * Provide timely feedback on automated test results, collaborating to address and resolve identified issues. 6. Test Reporting and Documentation: * Generate clear and concise reports on automated test results, covering both frontend and backend aspects of the desktop application. * Maintain documentation for automated test scripts and frameworks, ensuring accessibility to all team members. Qualifications: * Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. * Proven experience in test automation for desktop applications, with expertise in C# and Python. * Proficiency in testing frameworks such as Appium, WinAppDriver, or similar tools for frontend UI testing. * Experience with backend testing using suitable tools and frameworks. * Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., JUnit, NUnit, XUnit). * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests such as GitLab CI/CD or .yml syntax.
