You will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and delivering high-quality photovoltaic (PV) system designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role requires technical precision, design expertise, and the ability to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective solar solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop accurate and optimized solar PV system layouts and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
Use design and simulation tools such as
AutoCAD, PVsyst, or equivalent software
.
Perform technical calculations including string sizing, voltage drop, and energy yield estimation.
Prepare bills of materials (BOM), feasibility studies, and ROI analyses.
Ensure compliance with
TNB, ST, SEDA, MGTC
, and other relevant standards.
Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and installation teams to align designs with project requirements.
Provide on-site technical support during installation and commissioning.
Maintain design documentation and approval records for internal and external reviews.
Support knowledge sharing and guide junior team members where needed.
Keep up to date with the latest developments in solar technology and design standards.
Requirements
Degree
in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
1-3 years
of experience in solar PV system design.
Proficient in
AutoCAD
,
PVsyst
, and other relevant design tools.
Strong understanding of PV system components, electrical codes, and grid connection standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Willing to travel occasionally for site assessments and technical support.
